Minimum
Standard Features

In 1996, when The Renovation Funding Program was first created, we held numerous meetings with the Lending Institutions involved in our program as well as several professional Residential Appraisers.

At these meetings we developed several lists of Minimum Standard Features that were to be incorporated into each and every job.

These Minimum Standard Features have become the focal point of the Program. They represent a clear certification of Safety & Value for both the home owner and the lender.

When you are approved for funding and you decide to use Aston Whitehall Renovations to perform work on your home, we finish the job with at least those items listed in the Minimum Standard Features List that pertain to whichever job category the list refers
to.

Each job includes the Minimum Standard Features associated with that job type.

Funding
may be unavailable
for some jobs that do not include the required items.

half.gif (64376 bytes) If any of the Minimum Standard features are already
present, we will adjust our pricing to reflect the inclusion of those items.

(As long as the items mentioned meet our specifications)

There are also certain renovation jobs that Aston Whitehall will not perform through the Funding Program.

These are types of jobs that remain more in the category of patch-up repairs and cosmetic cover-ups, such as Kitchen Refacing, or, in the case of Roofing, the installation of a second layer of shingles over an older, existing one.

While these types of jobs tend to save the homeowner money by "cutting corners," there is no genuine value added to the home as a result.

As Aston Whitehall Renovations is committed to following the guidelines of the Program, the client would have to seek out another contractor to perform such work with the approved funds.  see Related Items

Safety

Another important issue has been safety surrounding the work. Aston Whitehall has always prided itself in making sure that all steps are taken to ensure the safety of our customers and workers.

As an example, the Ontario Building Code does not require a sprinkler head in the furnace area of the basement of a single-family residence . However, we will always perform this installation as part of our basement finishing service.
