In August,
2007, a trial Contractor Subsidy Program
was launched, establishing a special fund initially supported by
manufacturers, distributors and retailers, along with portions
of other revenues collected by our Co-op.
Discretionary amounts are drawn from this fund and used to
credit member-contractors when "quick-sale" cash
discounts are offered by the Co-op.
The contractor is credited with the difference between the Best
Co-op Price (see about our pricing)
and the client's discounted price.
By
preventing the contractor from continuously having to lower the
price out of his own pocket (which lowers the quality of
workmanship and materials), this subsidy support fund helps to
maintain a high standard throughout our organization, while
keeping prices down. |
